Update from July 2022: Too busy, food too heavy. We went in for lunch today and it was so loud inside (too many seats in this space, which indicates cheap seat allocation; the glass in between the seating areas really doesn’t help). My chicken and waffle was unfortunately a little disappointing; the breading completely separated from the chicken which suggests that it might have been reheated; soggy waffles and peppery gravy (it gave me a little bit of an upset stomach too). I also don’t like that they don’t have physical menus; we were with a senior and she didn’t like it. Honestly, I felt like I’m in a diner and generally expected more from the place. Very cool atmosphere and very good food. I enjoyed the non-alcoholic mojito a lot. What I’d change for sure is less garlic in my pasta (it was way too intense for me) and a little lighter in general, even though it’s southern food ;)
Received take out from Cafe 4. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Hash. It was not worth the $15 I was charged for it. There was a small bit of salmon and the salmon was also very dry. The biscuit was very hard and severely over-baked. Cafe 4 is usually on point with their food, but their brunch has been some of the worst I've had in Knoxville, especially for the price point.
The location is awesome and the atmosphere is really good. Little disappointed with the food. Was there for breakfast, cinnamon rolls was great however nothing special for the breakfast. Will try lunch menu maybe next time. Service is good…
