Buzzard Billy’s

This was the worst food I ever ate, honestly, which was really surprising because I had seen this place rated really well. But none of the food is actually Cajun food, like I ordered the gumbo to see what it would taste like, and it was the most confusing dish I ever saw. No where in the south would anyone ever put bell peppers and tomatoes in a gumbo. Not only that, but it was so thick and dark that it was just gravy over rice. Idk if any of the cooks have ever seen a gumbo, but that ain't it lol

You know I hadn't been there in a long long time, the business was flourishing. It was a short wait but it was worth it. I found the food absolutely marvelous, nice and hot delivered in a timely fashion. The waitress was on her game, immediately took drink orders. Brought out the appetizers for those that had ordered it, then your food. The atmosphere was a little noisy for me but there were a lot of different activities going on, but it was tolerable. I'll definitely go back again

I absolutely love this restaurant!!! Ok, let’s get straight to the point: Food amazing, the price is fair and the portion is huge. The atmosphere is pretty chill and laid back. It was my wife and I first visit there and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back the next day. I want to say a Special thank you to Dan and Taylor….best bartenders in Des Moines..yes I said it ! Visiting from FL the Hospitality in Des Moines is amazing; but Dan and Taylor made us felt like we were locals and that meant the world to us. We had an excellent time, again thank you guys !
