Buttermilk and Honey- SHORT PUMP!!!

Nice, clean, bright atmosphere. The workers were very friendly and helpful. The Fried Green Tomatoes were delightful; I enjoyed the pickle relish (seemed homemade). I also ordered The Korean Chicken Sandwich, Pimento Cheese Balls, Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, and yes the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae. The pimento cheese balls were hot and creamy, delicious. The mac & cheese was just like homemade, fabulous. Although I am not a fan of vinegar in my collard greens, this dish was an absolute surprise. It was bursting with flavor, and the addition of tomatoes was a nice touch. Now to the entrée; the Korean chicken sandwich: I enjoyed this as well, I must say that I will ask for more kimchi on it next time. ( I love kimchi). Very savory sandwich with a slight touch of sweetness and spicy (especially toward the end). Now mind you, I took most of it home because I was so focused on the mac and cheese and collard greens. I was excited to see a new fried chicken place especially with high reviews, but our experience was not a 5 star rating. First the good - inside is nice with a variety of seating, the place is very clean, there was a woman (owner or manager) who was very polite to us and other guests, the Mac and cheese is very good, and the buttermilk ranch dressing was the best I have ever had. On the neutral side, the prices are pretty expensive but the portions are large so price for size is correct. On the downside is the flavor. I got a sandwich, my wife got a wrap, and we got tenders for the kids. The breading in the tenders was not flavorfully at all. I was actually disappointed with this as I expected a really good breading flavor. I also think a better oil in the fryer would make for a better taste. Unfortunately the tenders were a little tough. So I was in town for work and heard about this place. Pulled over and it looked like a nondescript restaurant in a new section of a shopping center. The restaurant overall was very clean customer service was cool as soon as I entered the door they had Pepsi products I already was excited as though I prefer Pepsi over Coke. Ordered the chicken sandwich with the mumbo sauce on it that was really good. I ended up taking the pickles off because I didn’t really prefer those but the sandwich itself was crispy on the outside juicy inside and it wasn’t that hammered chicken that’s a Fam chicken breast it actually was a meaty piece of chicken. And exciting when was the Pepsi machine also offered three variations of us new soda that I never had before… The pineapple cream soda was so amazing I had to go back and ask was it available to purchase anywhere other than at that restaurant on tap.
