Burger Inn

This review was going to be just about the food, but it was the experience that put Burger Inn over the top. I have been driving by this place for years, always passing it up because I was judging a book by its cover. Big mistake. From a food perspective, it is a really good greasy spoon lunch counter place (meant as a compliment)...my son and I had cheeseburgers, onion rings, fries and chili dogs. All were exactly what you would expect them to be, extremely fresh and tasty, not frozen and microwaved...and the prices seems to be amazingly stuck in the 1990's. But it was not the food that would bring me back, it was the people. The clientele all seemed like regulars. We had great conversations with several other diners. I love that kind of atmosphere. But the absolute best part...as I was waiting for a drink refill, I saw an employee walking an elderly customer back to his car after he finished his lunch. It almost brought a tear to my eye. Love this place . I've been in Woodstock 2 years and I have overlooked this place. but my neighbor told me I had to try. I've been looking for a local good greasy down home breakfast and this was it the atmosphere "to me" is what I love . Old Town feel that hasn't been super updated with the history stuck to the tables and chair just like the sticky stuff at my table today! Keep it as is. I'll be back asap

My friend and I went there to check it out. We both got a Philly cheese steak with onion rings. We were both very surprised with how good the food was. We would both recommend this place to anyone.
