My wife and I decided to Buca di Beppo to celebrate Mexican Mother’s Day since Sunday I was on the line cooking for almost 12 hours. (12 pm to 11:30 pm) Our visit got off to a rocky start and to be honest didn’t fare very well. My wife approached the hostess and was overlooked. Literally the hostess helped a gentleman that walked up after my wife but never acknowledged her until I stepped forward. We were escorted at a booth and it took a while before anyone came to talk to us. A gentleman came up to us and took our order. He said that he would pass it on to our server who would be over shortly. He didn’t ask us what we wanted to drink, he just walked away with our order. We sat there undisturbed , pondering if our order was really placed or not. About half an hour later our server came up and took our drink order. He apologized for the wait and walked away. A few minutes later all our food came out at the same time with our drinks. We ordered calamari for our appetizer, Eggplant Parm
This place has an old school Italian ambience with excellent staff! Our waiter, Gio, was genuinely hospitable. We started off with a trio appetizer that was the perfect starter. A photographer came by our table and took a complimentary photo that I got to keep. They also frame them for you for 15 dollars. Our entree's were ginormous in portion, so we most definitely took some home. At the end, Gio came out with a team of staff and sang happy birthday to me with an Italian twist. Hands down best birthday dinner I've ever experienced. Thank you for giving me a taste of Italy!
Great dinner celebrating a birthday. Anthony, who may have been the shift manager, made it a great night by helping to start our order when the restaurant was super busy. He checked on us throughout the meal and made the experience great. Genesis, our waitress was very sweet and the food was super quick out of the kitchen. Great night!
