BRQ Seafood and Barbeque

We had never been to BRQ before. Being from North carolina, we have high expectations for barbecue. ;-) we had a sampler with all the different needs on it and everything was delicious. The all stars from the group, if we had to pick them, were the smoked brisket and pulled pork barbecue.The smoked brisket had great flavor, was tender, moist, and virtually melted in your mouth. Next, we got the nachos with brisket and they were incredible! Not only was the serving size monstrous (and we are big eaters), but also the toppings were ample, including the smoked brisket (so many restaurants skimp on the protein with nachos). We finished up with a slice of their chocolate cake, which was huge albeit not terribly dense or rich. All in all, the restaurant was superb and we highly recommend it.. we will be back when we return to Baton Rouge!

Two words. Sit outside! It was great. Covered so no rain, cool air blowing through so very comfortable. It's like having dinner on your back porch.... just much better food (at least with how I cook). My wife had the turkey, goat cheese, and fig sandwich with pit beans. I had the pastrami grilled cheese with onion rings. Finished it off with a slice of carrot cake that was bigger than my head! Great food, great service. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back.

I came here for a business lunch and I'm so glad somebody picked this place. What a nice happy place for a lunch meeting. The portions are huge and I was stuff. We ordered the nachos with brisket, the boudin balls, and Brussels Sprouts to share.. They were delicious. I had their lunch special - the Jambo I think? I loved their brisket because it's a great combo of fatty and lean meat. I'm just picky with the pull pork because I like my meat fatty... Really cute farm house atmosphere. What stood out the most is our server. I can't remember her name but she gave the best and most honest recommendations.
