Got a one eyed Willie sandwich which was great. I had bacon, chorizo, onions and jalapenos added to the sandwich. My only issue was that the jalapenos were raw. Personally I would have preferred a roasted or pickled jalapeno for a breakfast sandwich. Roasted jalapeno would blend perfectly with the smokiness it would compliment the chorizo.
Everything here is sourced from a local farm somewhere in Texas. So everything here is fresh and tastes great. Because it is all from a local farm you will be paying more for what you get. But I suspect if you are going to a Cafe to eat than it's not a big issue on price. If you are going with a large group of people there is a decent wait, bur for groups no more than 3 maybe 4 you will be seated almost right away. It seems the breakfast items are what this place is known for but even the lunch was great. The fries are great, but if you are getting fries beware that this place puts more salt in the food than what I would consider an average restaurant. Parking: You have to park in the back and since it is shared parking, good luck finding a spot close by.
Love this place, been here a ton, the Benny is the best coffee! Love that they source lots of local food! Couple of issues is that several times I've been and they are out of GF toast (I go for coffee and toast/jam ????) and the bathrooms and floors are disgusting. Otherwise it's a nice place with great food, delicious coffee and friendly service. It is pricey, but they do buy local ingredients, and healthier meats. Dietary restrictions: They (sometimes) have GF toast and GF pancakes. They also have dairy alternatives for coffee beverages.
