Bode's Corn Beef House

I ordered a pastrami sandwich with fries and coleslaw through Grub Hub. The delivery person was right on time, with hot food. The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars. The sandwich was loaded with pastrami and there was a heaping pile of french fries. Unfortunately when I took my first bite of the sandwich I got a piece of meat that was tough and gristly. Figuring it was just a small bit I ate just some meat without the bread. It was so tough I spit it out. Also it tasted more like corned beef with peppercorns than pastrami. I ended up throwing the whole meal away. I won’t be back.

We met family at Bode's for dinner. Everyone loved their corned beef sandwich, with a shared order of onion rings. We also had a BLT with egg and avocado. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Our food arrived in a short time and was delicious! The sandwich sizes are very generous and most of us took home leftovers. I've had carry out from Bode's as well, and it was just as great. We'll be back again soon.

Corn beef was great. I had the Dirty Bird-chicken and mashed potatoes covered in gravy. Delicious. Outdoor dining was great. Only downside was a train going by during dining
