What a fantastic experience. Our server Christian (at least that's what he claim his name was) was absolutely amazing. We came to this establishment during our late night shenanigans and had a great experience!
While looking for a great BBQ place to eat while visiting downtown, I stumbled upon BCC. It was a short walking distance from the hotel, so I ventured over. The ribs were good, had a great smoke flavor but not overpowering and it complimented the sauce. They were on the drier side and not as tender as I had thought they would be. HOWEVER, the absolute STAR of this place is the CATFISH!!! Oh my, oh my! I haven't had catfish that outstanding in a very long time! It came with tarter sauce but was not necessary, maybe a few drops of some good ol' Louisiana hot sauce, if you like it spicy like me. The shrimp appetizer with garlic butter sauce was great too and overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. If you are in the great city of the birthplace of rock and roll and the blues and want some of the best catfish in a no thrills, laid back diner... BCC is the place to be!!
The atmosphere is one full of energy. The music, the constant movement draws you into that soul air that Memphis is know for. The customer service is top notch. I cannot recall a time where a server was more attentive. I felt as if she was reading my mind. Bravo! The food is the weakest aspect. Maybe the meal I ordered. The chicken was sturdy. The salad was dry. I was dissatisfied.
