Blue Corn Restaurant and Bar

Some of the best mexican food in south philly, a bit pricier but overall the presentation and perspective on mexican food was refreshingly different from other south philly mexican spots. Also there are a bunch of 6-9$ shots of good mezcal and a great selection of mexican beers, a first in my case for philly. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

9/22/22 went here for our anniversary dinner, and as always, the food and service was perfect. We shared the mini tacos special and they were delicious! One was refried beans, one was potato, one was chicken and one pork. I had the sabana, which is a thin steak with refried beans and cheese. My husband had the shrimp and we shared dessert. Everything was perfect. I always said they should bottle their tamarind margherita, it's so very good. I highly recommend Blue Corn, it's truly one of my favorite restaurants. Thank you for your really good food! 11/15/21 update. Went for an impromptu dinner and everything was wonderful from our server, to our drinks, to our dinner. The food is made to order, presented beautifully and is delicious! Thank you! We went on Christmas Eve, early afternoon, and sat outside. The food is just as good as it always has been. Safety protocols are being followed and our servers were really nice. I have not found a tamarind margarita as good as Blu

The food was delicious and was well priced. We ordered the tacos (beef, pork, and chicken) and they came out timely and were amazing. Waiters were polite and attentive.
