We loved our unexpected encounter with Bliss! We had traveled to the Audobon nature trail just down the road and stopped here for lunch and an ice cream. We had old school diner good which was delivered quickly and was tastyI I also had an authentic Root Beer Float, probably first one in 25 years, deelish! Played lawn games out front afterwards while enjoying our ice cream, quite an overall enjoyable experience and we left there "Blissed out"! ????❤️☮️
I grew up near Bliss and used to come here all the time for so many things — all meals, every time of day, dine in. The food is consistently good-to-okay and you can find pretty typical standard old-school American fare. Good as in quality and taste, but okay in variety and presentation. Ice cream is I'd say above mediocre. The environment inside is pretty dated, but good. Not great, but good.
The place to go to if you can’t drive all the way up to Maine to grab you a good lobster roll. I prefer getting the ice cream here when I visit the city. Coffee and strawberry flavored ice cream is my go-to ice cream flavors. The service here is very good!
