So, I was really excited and looking forward to trying this place because of the reviews and photos. However, we were pretty disappointed. I got the Lobster Benedict, the only thing I happened to take a picture of. The lobster was really over cooked, as well as the eggs. They didn't run at all when I opened them. The flavor was missing on all parts. The only thing I really had a strong flavor of was the green onions. I took a bite of my grandmas plate. It was the "biscuit" and gravy from her Texas Plate. That was the best thing I had. We also got our bar drinks, mimosa flight and bloody Mary, 10 minutes after we had our food. We spent $84 and I won't go back. It was over priced and not worth it.
Great experience. Slightly self serve but the food is so good
My meal was awesome I couldn't finish all of my pancakes with the Avocado and Bacon Eggs Benedict that I ordered with the house potatoes that was super great!!,.and I'm grateful that the kitchen was accommodating to make my eggs fried over hard as I don't like them to be runny,..one place I went here in TX tried to correct me in saying that Eggs Benedict don't come any other way,..after being a chef for 20+ years I was quite surprised to hear that,.and to know that in TX an egg can't be poached hard,..but at Black Walnut Cafe they found a way to make it work Thank You!!
