We've been to Big Shawn's quite a few times and are treated like family. The food is hot and fresh and delicious. Haven't had the burgers because why. Can't wait to another cheese steak!
The first time my order was messed up I didn't dwell on it - figured I'd just try them again (everyone deserves a 2nd chance). The sandwiches are good, when they get it right, but i asked for mine without cheese whiz, and they didn't put ANY cheese on it. Got a soggy, undercooked $5 small fry twice now, so I probably won't bother with this place again
Today I drove to Grand Rapids from Detroit to try this and I mean it was worth the time out of my day. The customer service was the best that I have experienced in a long time. The staff was actually happy to help the food was awesome. I had steak egg rolls and a Big Shawn cheesesteak I mean the best that I have had since going to Philly. I will be going back it's closer than going to Philly and cheaper.
