Big Sammy's Hot Dogs II

I walked in and wasn’t even greeted. The owner of the place was running the counter and gave me an attitude when I asked about an item on the menu. I proceeded to look at what I wanted even though I felt as if I should’ve left. I got the number one which was already expensive and they don’t even have Coney dogs on their menu. So I asked to make it a Coney dog and the price went up another five dollars. The fries were OK but the hotdogs were tough to through I could barely even stomach one. Just take my advice and make your own at home or go to an establishment that actually cares.

Great selection of food. Good service, I like the friendly old man especially. Food is pretty good, I can tell they put a lot of effort into providing full bodied dishes. My only complaint is that the fries were a little lame. They had little flavor.

Big Sam looked just like the photo on the cups they serve. Since I have even in Chicagoland for long I'm not sure how it stacks up to a traditional idea of a Chicago dog, but I was a little underwhelmed. I played it safe getting a #1 on the menue which is like 2 Hotdogs, fries, and a drink. You can have any topping put on the hot dog you want. The Hotdogs I got were like your typical backyard cookout. Fries were good and crispy hit drink cup was a little small compared to a big fast food chain but with how bad sugar is for our bodies I guess it isn't all bad. It looked very clean inside and the menue is bigger than just hot dogs, it is worth exploring again sometime.
