Have been to Big Pauly's a few times, and we have enjoyed it every time. Today we got the Reuben Pizza (only available in March) and the Margherita Pizza. The Reuben is made with Sauerkraut, Corned Beef, and Thousand Island dressing and Pauly's fantastic hand tossed thin crust pizza dough. If you're not a Sauerkraut fan don't fret - the Pizzas are baked in a 700 degree wood fired oven, mellowing the kraut to just on the edge of sweetness. I highly recommend both Pizzas.
The crust was not what I expected, but the pizza was delicious. Best flat pizza I've had in Illinois so far. Garlic knots were spot on also.
I got the baked Mac and cheese and a pizza. The Mac n cheese was like butter noodles with a half melted glob of cheese hidden in the middle of the noodles. The pizza had decent flavor but the dough was really chewy I felt like it might have been old or overcooked. Other than that, great menu, a place with lots of potential
