Beyond Juicery + Eatery

I was at the downtown store today with my husband and a friend. We have kindly asked to have little ice in our smoothies. I saw one of the staff making ours and I told her that we asked for little ice. This is what she said verbatim and my husband and our friend heard her say with a very bad tone, and almost screaming “I wasn’t trained to make smoothies with less ice, and if you’d like it otherwise, I’d be happy to give you a refund”. This place is terrible, the smoothies get watery after some time because of the amount of ice they put and little amounts of the other ingredients.

I was just at this restaurant me and my fiancé went in there. Everybody was getting served but us we happen to be the only two Caucasian people in the restaurant. They didn’t even acknowledge us when we were at the cash register I had to acknowledge them in order to get served, they then ignored us for 34 minutes and said they gave a order to somebody else when I was standing there the whole time, and I watch them not make our food, and then said they gave it to somebody else. There was a girl there that was extremely helpful that had glasses she refunded our meal. However, I spent an hour of my day coming downtown to try to get a healthy place to eat Just to get ignored and not get served and I am not a person that usually speaks on race. However, everybody else was getting taken care of and served and we did not, and at the time we were the only caucasian people in the restaurant

So I e tried 2 different smoothies from this place and wasn’t really impressed. I’ve never gotten food here until today. I ordered a lemonade which is so good, a chicken wrap that was good but could have used a lot more chicken, and a bottle of water. Now this is where it gets bad and I would have left but I didn’t want to embarrass myself. I don’t care if this place is downtown where you would expect people to have money but a chicken wrap lemonade and water was 21 bucks. The people that work their can’t even afford to eat it they was eating chipotle. I will definitely keep walking right pass the place from now own. Then they don’t give you a receipt but on the board it’s listed that a wrap is 10 bucks. So damn was the lemonade 10 bucks. I know the bottle of water was 250 which is just ridiculous.
