Bernie's Restaurant & Bar Glenside

This is my second time coming to this restaurant and I would absolutely NOT recommend! The first time I came I was with a big party, so I thought they just didn’t know how to service a big party. The second time I came I was with a party of 3. I literally had to get up from my table to ask for utensils, and sugar for my coffee. My waitress was nonchalant and didn’t really care to service us (no apology for the lack of service)I asked for my eggs to be scrambled soft and they were burnt. I am literally sitting at my table writing this review!

GROSS DIRTY AND RUDE! place is filled with black mold and has a nasty history of violating health codes. one time there was no hot water for a week and dishes were being washed cold. mice swim in the fryers and they aren’t cleaned after. and the owner is rude and doesn’t pay employees.

My husband and I used to loved this place. It has a great atmosphere and some vegetarian options. We haven’t been here lately because the prices have gone up. It was cold and rainy so we gave it a try again. The food was still pretty good, but expensive. The fries were obviously rewarmed in the oven. We went from loving this place to thinking it’s just ok. Notice our plates chipped in 3 places and the credit card fee. The kitchen also closed at 8:30, but it was supposed to close at 10pm.
