Small place with big flavors! We were heartily greeted as we came in. Flounder and catfish are delicately seasoned and fried. French fries are perfect,and coleslaw is not boring. Hush puppies are the best I've ever tasted. And yes, they have dessert! We tried chocolate cake (wonderful) and sweet potato pie (heavenly). I was very impressed with our young waiter, he has so much personality! Parking: There is plenty of parking, easy to get in and out.
Not my first time, but lawdy lawdy their Drum & Shrimp with a side of Gumbo is the bomb. ESPECIALLY their kooliad ???? if you ain't tried any of it, you MUST !
It's food. The gumbo was sadly tomato based with hot dog sausage and... Mushrooms. The fried shrimp were fried nicely with a thick cornbread crust. Decent and tasty. Fries were one each frozen, fried.
