I was so hyped to take my husband here for date night as we had heard such good things about it. We got there the first sign we see says they are out of burnt ends. Huge bummer but we did get there a little late (7pm). We sat down to order and the service was amazing. The food however.... In addition to being out of burnt ends, they were out of turkey and sausage. So 3 of our favorites things weren't available. Ok, so we ordered a 3 meat plate, he got chicken (bone in, which we absolutely are not a fan of), sausage, sliced brisket, and loaded mashed potatoes. I ordered regular sausage, a double order of sliced brisket, and cream corn. There was absolutely no flavor to any of the meat. The brisket was dry as was the chicken and he sausage was honestly ok. For what we paid, Dickeys would have been a much better option, and I am not a huge fan of Dickeys...
I ordered the brisket burger, it used to be one I patty. Now it is cut in half up and today it was burnt. They said it was to make sure everything had more juice in patties. Most likely to cook faster.
Very welcoming laidback atmosphere. Good selection of bourbons. Their house Old Fashioned was very good. The staff did a good job. Definitely recommend trying the fried deviled eggs. I don’t like spicy food but their jalapeño and cheese sausage was a perfect blend of flavors. We were surprised they weren’t busy on a Saturday night. Music was especially entertaining because it was a blend of different genres from different decades.
