Crispy spring rolls should be taken off the menu. Mushy cabbage wrapped in chewy wonton. Not crispy at all! Ordered volcano chicken $17. They forgot the rice! I called and was offered two dollars toward my next visit or to come back. Horrible! Unfortunately I won't be back to use that $2!
I agree with other reviews suggesting this place is under new management with new cooks- I don’t know when it changed, but the “veggie spring rolls” should be called a cabbage wrap since now its just cabbage rolled up in a very sloppy way. I ordered a menu item with cashews and got zero, not a single cashew could be found in the dish. It’s very disappointing food and not anywhere near what I used to love about this restaurant. After a few bad meals, I give up and won’t return. It’s not an off night, it’s just bad now.
I went to Bangkok House for the first time a few days ago and was impressed with how authentic the food tasted. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken pud thai, pad see ew and fried chicken wings. My favorite dish was definitely the chicken pud thai and will be going back to eat it when I am craving it! I asked the waitress if the chef was Thai. She said yes, and that it was the Thai owner who cooks most of the dishes. The only negative thing about the experience was the slow service. Although the restaurant was pretty much empty, the waitress was inattentive. She barely checked up on us after we got served the food; we even had to wave her down to get the bill and to-go box. Despite the poor service, we were nice enough to tip her 15% tip.
