Baker's Drive-In

Cool little burger shack that harkens back to the 1950s. Yummy burgers at a reasonable price. We ate out of the trunk of the car because there are no tables.

Aug 2, 2022 @ 1:30pm. Ordered a Baker’s burger with everything and added Mayonnaise. My order was called and I took it to go. Arrived and my destination ready to eat. My burger was over cooked, dry and the bun was burnt. They forgot to add the mayonnaise and the burger was just thrown together. I was a repeat customer and have had several great burgers there. This was an epic fail today. I can’t say I will be back again. The lady taking my order was more interesting in texting then listening to what I was ordering. I’m guessing that’s why the mayo wasn’t added!

Great drive-in burger joint that dates back to the 1950's. Been a staple in historic downtown McKinney for decades. Happy to see an independent, small-town restaurant survive despite COVID and our CURRENT president's sabotage of our economy. Been coming here since I was a kid in the late 80's and I will keep coming back. Great staff and ownership. Get the double burger for the best meat to cheese to bun ratio. Mine was prepared perfectly and I really enjoyed the crispy buttery bun! Fries were great with ketchup and I'm looking forward to my next amazing, hometown cooked Bakers Drive-In burger! Thanks for being here y'all! Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options for the kiddos! Parking: No tables so be prepared to eat in your vehicle or the truck bed! Didn't bother us we love the environment!
