Awakening Coffee & Tap House

I love this place so much. Let’s start with coffee: so glad they actually use a high quality bean and it makes a huge difference. The food and pastries are phenomenal and you would have no idea unless you asked that all the pastries are vegan. The regular customers are super friendly to each other and all are welcome. The place has been renovated so much and looks amazing. Super comfortable, outdoor seating or all types, and I love the add on of special events like food trucks in the evenings. Now for the people who work here: Ann and Joe have taken a revolving door coffee shop that’s had at least a half dozen owners in the time I’ve been in the area to an inviting wonderful neighborhood haven. My daughter and I are there at least twice a week for coffee and a pastry, and they are so wonderful to my two year old Lily. Lily loves being there and seeing Ann, Joe, and Shay and they’ve welcomed her and helped my shy girl come out of her shell. I’ve never met people who whole heartedly want

Walking into Awakening Coffee is like walking into a friend's house. Ann and Joe have made their shop welcoming, comfortable, and a gathering space for the community. They know their customers by name and continue to additions to bring the neighborhood together. Check out their new inside area, the great outside space, and listen to their ideas for expansion - it is really exciting. Oh, and the coffee and food is great too!

If you have not visited Awakening Coffee in the community of Oak Grove, OR, you are missing out. I discovered this amazing little coffee shop when I lived down the street. The owners, Ann and Joe, purchased the former Moonlight Coffee and turned it into the jewel of the neighborhood. They serve Illy coffee, which is amazing! Both the owners and the staff are kind and welcoming. They offer an amazing selection of coffee drinks, beer, wine, pastries, sandwiches. I love their breakfast sandwiches! The space is clean and inviting. Awakening Coffee also has a beautiful outdoor space. A lovely covered patio (with heaters for the colder months), a large area with picnic tables, and a large tented area. They even have food trucks a couple of times per week. I love this coffee shop so much, that even after I moved an hour away, I try to visit at least twice per month to have my favorite coffee and conversation.
