My daughter and I were very pleased with Avila's restaurant. They employees were very friendly and helpful. We live in the northeast, but we didn't mind the drive, for it was our first time eating there, so we will visit and recommend Avila's restaurant to others, and the food was delicious. Just always a great dining experience and the staff always strives to be fast and efficient. Haven't had a bad meal yet. They forgot to give me a child's plate on Tuesday so I called. The gentleman had the meal made and drove it to my house for free. That is serious customer care. Not only a long time family restaurant, but one that cares about people. Bravo! Well done!
The servers were friendly and the restaurant, including the bathrooms, was clean and well kept. Overall the atmosphere was nice. The food was good but not great. The beans had a canned flavor as did the salsa. I'm not saying they were canned/bottled but the flavor reminded me of that taste. I got the combo #3 plate which had a Chile Relleno, a Taco, an Enchilada, Green Chile with beef, and a Tamal. Along with rice and beans, of course. All were good but not what I would consider exceptionally good.
