Really disappointed with my dinner experience at the Costa Mesa location. My refined beans were burned, chicken enchiladas were over-cooked with no cheese on them, chips were mixed with stale ones, salsa had a weird taste and my rice was floating in over-cooked sauce. I really like the establishment, so I was very surprised to receive very poor service! We were seated at a dirty table and no acknowledgement for longer than expected. We were seated by the noisy severs breezeway as well. I am an honest person and want tell you, they did take my meal off my tab, however, this should not have happened! I never really ate and ended up with a stomach ache from the food. This was originally a $50+ tab. I did tip our server, however I will never go back! Unable to trust their service! We were good customers. We went in quietly and left quietly. Never caused any scene or disrespectful to the staff. SAD!
Being from florida its hard to find a good Mexican restaurant. This a good one! Loved the food employees are super funny. Next time i come here it will be my first stop.
On a last minute decision, my husband and I took our kids to dinner on a busy Monday school night. I was worried that it would be difficult to get good service without a reservation especially because we are a very large family. When we got there, Salvador received us with open arms and actually made us feel like our presence was welcomed. He made sure we got seated very fast. The waitress, Mercedes was just as sweet as Salvador. I can't remember the last time we got such good service at a restaurant. It means a lot to our family to be able to enjoy a dining experience such as this, especially because it costs so much to eat out. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. Thank you Avilas!
