Assyrian Kitchen can't be called a restaurant. It's an experience. It tells you a story through delicious foods, rich in flavor. You can taste the love that was put into each dish. It felt like a holiday at my grandmother's house with the entire family gathered. It felt like being invited to a feast at a relatives home (you're not allowed to leave without your zipper ready to explode). It felt like home. My mother and I loved everything about it. It made us gleam with pride, discussing our beautiful Assyrian culture and how well it was represented. I can't wait to go back ❤️
My husband and I went to brunch at Assyrian Kitchen on April 28th and it was really an extraordinary experience. The menu was so intricately planned and every bite was bursting with flavor. The attention to detail was just phenomenal. The space has a great atmosphere and the service is excellent. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new and exciting place to explore Assyrian middle eastern food.
We attended the "Taste of Home: Traditional Flavors of Assyrian Cuisine" at The Assyrian Kitchen last Friday night. This was my first time eating traditional Assyrian food and I am now afraid that I will be comparing any other restaurant with similar cuisine to this one, and find them lacking. I really had no idea what to expect, and what we experienced can only be described as a wonderful experience. It was the whole package. A delicious dinner, a welcoming space and service that you will not find anywhere else. They truly treat you like you are a part of the family. What a fantastic meal we had! A bountiful delight of Assyrian traditional dishes! Already on the table when we arrived was a delightful tower " ZIGGURAT OF NIMRUD" that consisted of: parsley, mint, & chive flowers, radishes, cucumbers, olives, evoo & housemade za’atar, mint infused okra, dill tindooras buried cheese. And a big basket of yogurt barley flat bread, “shamash-shammu” sesame bread started off our meal.
