Possibly the best and most iconic meat & three in Nashville. Don’t miss the cauliflower casserole, but they only have it certain days of the week
Granted, I'm late to the party on Arnold's after living here 8 years with the intention to go, and finally making it on the last week. So no complaints about the 1.5 hour line, cause that's what happens when you go out of business. My complaint is a friendly ask: can you tone down the salt? All the food I had tonight was so insanely salty (and peppery) it kinda ruined the experience. Without the salt, it would've been 7/10 food. But with the salt..it was almost unbearable. My boyfriend and I have been burping up salt for hours now and he didn't feel well after eating it. I understand the slim pickings during the last week too, so my takeaway is: at least I can say I went but I wouldn't go back. PS the picture of food is before the fried catfish came out. Parking: Parking lot is paid parking but Arnold's validates 1.5 hours. Otherwise, I parked on the street behind at a meter which is free after 6p.
We went here because it was featured on DDD. Did not disappoint. Love the old school cafeteria style dining and the food was excellent. Had the fried chicken Mac and cheese and bread pudding. It was awesome! Would definitely go back. My wife had the sugar cured ham and greens and she loved both of them.
