Arianna's Italian Grill Lakeside

I wish I could be more positive. The pros: The place has a nice, local spot feel and has the potential to be quite cozy, though bereft of patrons, it comes across as a bit bleak. The food, at least what I got, was good. Not exceptional or unique, but not bad. The cons: You know something's wrong when the people running the Italian restaurant don't know their Italian wines. I ordered a glass of Montepulciano. Though listed on the menu, this was, apparently, something the waitress had never encountered, and it was also a bit disconcerting when the waitress didn't seem to recognize a dish named after the restaurant, Chicken Arianna. Again, the food was ok. It seemed to stray a bit from the menu description, but it wasn't bad, but "wasn't bad" means it didn't stand out, which is a little sad since I recall this place being quite good pre-pandemic. Dined in today with my daughter and felt like we got special treatment. It was a late lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy. Waiter/chef was attentive and gave great recommendations. We had a Principessa pizza and some pasta. Magnificent! Not even a bite of crust was wasted! Thank you for not disappointing. I recommend for friendly people that enjoy small restaurants.

I hate to leave a negative review but it must be done after tonight. Do NOT go here. I ordered dinner tonight from Arianna's on Lakeside; pasta that came with a side of rolls. I fully finished the pasta and opened the rolls to discover that they were MOLDY. I already feel sick to my stomach, and wish I had never ordered my dinner there. Please save yourself from getting sick and do NOT order from Arianna's.
