ARIA – The Restaurant at Saint Kate

Fabulous food which was enjoyed in a warm and inviting environment. Aria is a great addition to Milwaukee. The service was excellent, and we would love to return.

Despite the convenience of location, I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality and pricing of the meals. The cheapest item was a burger at $18. From there entrees jumped up steeply with several over $60. I paid $35 for duck breast. No sides, just a small serving of sliced duck breast smothered in a southwestern style topping of corn, peaches and a few bits of cheese. Halfway through our meal a server appeared with another plate of duck breast saying that there had been a 'problem' in the kitchen and this was the other half of my order. No mention of this when our food was served, We ordered sides of green beans (more reasonably priced at $6) only to be served large plates of 'blistered' green beans drenched in oil. Our wait person graciously replaced them with an order that was steamed to crisp tender. Overall, the menu offerings are very limited, grossly overpriced for both the quantity and quality of the food.

This was my first visit and I’m in love! Our server Nikki was wonderful, and so friendly! The place feels like you’re at a friends house. There are cookbooks everywhere, and they were fun to look through while waiting for our meal. I ordered two mocktails, The Hibby and the Silk Road (pictured), both amazing. I got the Stake and Fries for my entree. One of the best stakes I’ve had in a long time! Nikki was attentive, and was there before we had to ask for her. She is also very knowledgeable and made our dinner feel like we were at her place for a dinner party! She gave us these super cute maps of things to do in Milwaukee (Pictured)hand drawn by a local artist because she thought we’d enjoy them. That was such a nice touch. I will definitely be going back many times!
