Applebee's Grill + Bar

June 6, 2022 11:09pm 2 guest.Picked up my friend from the airport it was late we wanted to go to O'Charlies but because of the hour in the night we went to Applebee's. Our wait time I'd say was around 10 mins or less but can I tell you can the host walk a little bit more slowly... sshheww!? My friend ordered the chicken w/ no mushrooms no onions...guess what she got, yes thats right...she had to send it back and ordered something else, her entree looked nothing like what's on the menu. Mean while I'm eating my burger while she waits for her 2nd order. I specifically requested extra onion fresh tomato and lettuce. My mistake for thinking I would get a clean full slice of onion no I got one ring from the slice of onion surprisedly disappointing! I watched this server write down our order I would think this order was communicated to the cook? How many restaurants use ice berg lettuce for burgers? Just plain cheap! Ha. This place is a joke. From the hostess to the waiters. We went around 4:30pm on a weekend because we were interested in the dollar margaritas. They made us wait 45 minutes to get seated due to “change of shift”. WHAT???? Something that happens as common as changing shift should not defer them from seating customers. When it was time to be seated they had no idea who to seat first from the big crowd the accumulated during those 45 minutes so our party demanded we get seated. Well apparently that annoyed our waiter who decided to get payback by taking an hour to bring us drinks and another hour to take our order and another 30 to bring our food. We ended up leaving after reaching our limit of disrespect. And the dollar margaritas were trash. We Didnt even get a buzz after drinking two on an empty stomach. Total waste. I would give zero stars if i could.

This wasn't our best dining experience however I'm a firm believer in focusing on the positives. So let's start on the most severe of the negatives. I ordered a sweet tea with lemon and unfortunately the tea had that very old taste that it does if the pot has not been cleaned properly or the tea has sat for too long. So I instead just requested an iced water which arrived in a very dirty glass. See pictured. Unfortunately our appetizer arrived in less than "appetizing" condition. It looked as though it had been taken straight out of the microwave and placed upon the plate. Also pictured. My young daughter wanted the chicken fingers plate with french fries and in the past I've been able to add a small side of macaroni and cheese however today I was told that I had to order two entrees in order to get the side of macaroni.
