Anamia's Tex Mex

HOT: This place is known in the area to be one of the most dependable Tex-Mex joints in DFW. The guacamole is astoundingly clean and refreshing, the food generally great portion, quality, and price. The only downfall was horrendous service. We really were surprised by how slow and inattentive our server was. I will chalk it up to the labor shortage. Be mindful that spicy is their starting point. Everything they can make spicy, they will. Even the salsa is effective a bowl of hot sauce.

I am not sure what has happened to Anamia's but it is steadily getting worse. We used to love this place. Since COVID began, we have primarily done curbside pickup. However, our orders are pretty consistently wrong. Most of the time they forget to include the drinks and once they gave us the wrong costumer's dinner. This time they forgot to include the margarita and when I tried to call them back, I was put on hold for a while. So I just went in and it still took five minutes to get someone to help me and she looked extremely put out by the effort. When we finally got home, we discovered it was missing the sauce for one of the dinners. Basically, there is absolutely no quality control for the take out orders.

The margaritas alone is enough reason to try this place, but the food could be better. I try to order staple foods when trying a new restaurant so I went with a margarita, queso and beef fajitas. I wasn't impressed my the food but the drinks and ambiance will have me coming back again. The staff is also very friendly and attentive.
