9:30am Monday. Breakfast/ lunch Lily is a great server. Got eggs, sausage, bacon and toast. Thick Texas toast. Food was very good. Wasn't too crowded. Drinks come in cans. Bf orders 2 meat platter, brisket and sausage fried okra and mashed. But mashed potatoes were not ready so he went with the green beans. Brisket was excellent without sauce and Sausage was delicious. Okra was huge and perfectly cooked. Great place for a bite to eat.

My wife and I are from Minnesota, so BBQ doesn't mean the same thing to us as it does for true Texans or explorers of BBQ.. When we think of BBQ; it's steaks, burgers, chicken, and pork chops on the grill.. Alma's Smokehouse set the bar really high for us because now we know what Texas BBQ is all about.. upon walking in, you're greeted with Outstanding, Professional, Courteous, and of course Friendly Staff and the amazing smell of the Smokehouse.. The Decor is something that I wish we had in our own house.. It's just something that you have to see in person.. Picture's dilute the intricacy of some of the smaller stuff.. The food was amazing, so if we based the whole menu off of what we had to eat.. We'd guess everything is amazing.. Smoked deliciousness is how we would describe it.. We will be exploring the other fine BBQ places Texas has to offer, but we will always be comparing everything to Alma's..
