All Star Burger

Superb first experience & my first trip to Austin, TX. Very polite & friendly staff. Food was impressive along with great outdoor seating.

Good burgers with tons of variety. I was honestly surprised by how many different kinds of burgers were available. I ordered the Five Islands Burger which features a grilled or seared Ahi tuna patty (I ordered mine seared!), Bibb lettuce, sprouts, avocado, scallions, sesame seeds, and citrus mayonnaise. The flavors were very good together although I would probably forgo the sprouts next time as I felt the textures clashed a bit. The decor in the restaurant features a lot of American imagery which I didn’t really care for and brought to mind some things I’d rather not think about while eating. I also did not like that the cashier was wearing a Thin Blue Line hat. Good food but probably won’t return.

The burgers are good. They have a good selection from pretty basic to fancier toppings. The bacon cheese fries are a really big portion piled with a very satisfying amount of cheese and bacon. Really if I were making them at home, I don't think I would do any better. Which says a lot coming from this cheese and bacon lover. The shakes are also good with some variety. My only hesitation and the main reason I don't eat here more often is that it's really pricey for a burger, especially when everything is a la carte. It is in the galleria, so it is in line with the restaurants in the area.
