All the fish tasted fresh. Toro nigiri was really good. Very attentive service from the waitress. The menu is fairly large— they have a huge selection of rolls you can choose from. I personally don’t like cream cheese, asparagus, or jalapeños in my rolls so I opted for plainer rolls, but the majority the rolls contain at least one of these. One of the rolls we ordered had tempura that definitely wasn’t freshly made— it was chewy because the batter on the tempura was cold/not fresh. Thai tea was too sweet for me. I feel like they can improve on the rice. Fish and other ingredients were good quality, but the rice takes the experience down a notch. The chirashi felt a little small, but I think the price for the amount of the fish was okay. Would definitely come back for sashimi and nigiris.

I have went to Akira several times over the past few years, but have finally got around to reviewing this fine establishment. Akira has some of the best Japanese cuisine in the Tulsa Metro area. The Steak Shikoyaki is always delicious, and their Miso Soup is far more flavorful than several competitors. I have always had wonderful service, very attentive and they never keep you waiting on the check. The atmosphere inside is very modern and clean. Overall, I have found good Asian food difficult to find in the Tulsa area, but Akrira is definitely worth a look.

The food is amazing. The service is great. I'm hesitant on places like this, but they don't disappoint here. I've only had one negative experience here but it was a technical difficulty, and they made it right, so I'm not mad!! Definitely give them a try if you haven't already. And if you have, keep going back because you already know how good it is!!! ????
