Akira Japanese Steakhouse

We used to come here all the time- we really enjoyed the food and the prices. We went on Mother’s Day this year and the pricing was ridiculous.. the Menus are not updated. It was $3.99 a person for rice (when they ask if you want rice or noodles). We paid with card (which the older lady took and brought back) we then tipped with cash and a younger girl came and grabbed the little tray the money goes on. We sat around for about 10 minutes after chatting with family. When we got to our car we were buckling our son in and still chatting with family when the older lady chased us outside asking for a tip. I thought this was very unprofessional as for one- we already tipped. And two I think it’s your responsibility to see where all money comes and goes and your employee collected that from us. Won’t be attending again as it is around $30 a person to eat there now.

Great food and great service! They did inform us they were short on cooks (which is fine with us because that's everywhere) The food was worth the wait! Our kids (age 4 and 7) got chicken tenders off the kids menu and loved it. We were all entertained by the cook! Definitely recommend ♥️ OH make sure to ask for yum yum sauce if you want some. They filled the two saucers with another type of sauce (sorry not sure what they are called)

Well really I don’t know where to start… this was my 3rd and last time at this place!!! The owner needs to let someone else take over she’s super rude over taxes you when your cashing out she acts like customers are a burden… super super understaffed and I see why!! I was only drinking water and never got a refill till I asked for the bill and that came briskly… the first round of drinks soup and salad came fast even the sushi came fast and it was great like the other times then I ordered the steak hibachi dinner meal and I ordered both my sons kids chicken teriyaki meals which said 11.95 on the menu but on the bill it said 15.95 don’t know how smh when asked the owner about it she stated we was looking for trouble just as we did the last time we came… lady is delirious it’s just always a money thing with this lady it seems… but the cook made it a little better with his performance and I also got some really cool pictures but didn’t get the complete meal because it took so long my phon
