We went for a late dinner on Saturday night. We were seated immediately. At first we were kind of concerned by the napkins everywhere, but we were informed that they had recently done a dance where they throw napkins as a sign of respect and welcoming (I don't recall the name of the dance). The atmosphere is warm and inviting; great for date night, family gatherings, or friends' get together. It took a while for a sever to come to our table, which also concerned us. Thankfully, Jason came over and took excellent care of us. In fact, we ended up being so glad that it was him who served us. He not only took our orders but described menu items, made food suggestions, gave us some great historic info on the city, and suggested some cool places to check out. It was our first time in Tampa. He even ended up paying for our drinks (which he didn't have to do). The manager also came over to check on us, which made us feel like they care about their customer experience. I recently had dinner at the Acroplis in Ybor for the first time in 5 years. We got a seat on the front window. I love people watching while eating. This specific Acropolis is busy and a moving part. Our food came out good, and service was pretty good. I do want to give a specific thumbs up to the bar tender/manager gentleman. He's always there giving 1000%.
