Abelardo's Mexican Fresh

This is my first visit to Abelardos. Late night dinner and I didn't want fast food. I got to admit, I thought it would be just as bad as the other mexican place that is open 24hrs. I was very sceptical. I read all the reviews. The hard shell tacos are big. Not mostly lettuce, like most places. I couldn't believe how good it was! Different than I'm used to, but I couldn't stop eating it, not even to let my son try some! Also had a beef enchilada. I'm not familiar with what "authentic" is, but I'm not a fan of the enchilada sauce. Very bold, is the only way I can think of to explain it. We came back 2 weeks later to try a burrito. I was a bit surprised that it cost $8. But it was extremely big. My son (12yrs old) and I actually weighed it. It was 1 pound! Stuffed with ground beef and a little bit of beans and cheese. It was definitely a lot to eat for the 2 of us. I probably won't get it again though. I prefer a variety of flavors. At least in a hard shell taco, you have more of the ch

The employees were very helpful and friendly. First time going tonight and the lady understood we needed a few minutes to decide on what we wanted. Food was awesome. We will definitely be going back.

We did a huge order of churros (different filling options of raspberry, Bavarian cream or apple cinnamon). They are much better fresh then delivery/take out but really hood flavors and a nice crunch!
