I am giving 4 stars for now and only reason is food presentation. At first I was skeptical to try it, but after I did food was amazing and tasted really good. Our server was amazing and really knew the menu and explained and answered all my questions. Made me feel like I was one of the regulars. Definitely gets 5 stars for that. Next time I am in town I definitely will be going to Abbey. Thank you guys!!!!
Friendly staff. Overpriced for what you get. Burgers seem to be frozen from the box, not fresh made. Kids mac-n-cheese is from the Kraft box and came out cold. The sweet potato fries I ordered with my crab cake sandwich came out cold also. The she crab soup was very good. Like many restaurants in VA Beach, they card a “credit card service fee”.
We went there for our 25 th wedding anniversary. Sat at bar. Mixed drinks were great! Great atmosphere! Bartender was good, but more attentive to group at end of bar who seemed to be locals. Ordered draft beer. It was hot. Bartender tried another kind. Hot too. Got a bottle , it could have been colder, drank it . Ordered food. Both got steak from menu. $24.99 / plate. Good food. But dissatisfied with, portion for price. No salad. No bread. No dessert. Asked for bread. Was told it would be an additional $1.99. From out of state. 1st visit to Va Beach. Restaurant was highly recommended. Would probably go back, but not get steak plate. Disappointed bc I planned to spend the evening there. Went back to hotel early.
