A Place at the Table

We were visiting Raleigh and came across this restaurant. It’s a pay what you can cafe, a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to help the ones who can’t afford to eat. The food was really well prepared and very tasty. I love the concept. I would definitely come back! Thank you so much to all the volunteers that make this happen.

One of the best brunches! I had a chai latte (perfect blend of spicy and sweet), fried eggs, mashed avocado with pickled onions, spicy cheddar biscuit (subtle spice that builds as you eat), and lime creama. I also had a cinnamon roll to-go. Everything was super fresh and delicious! Love the concept of people being able to pay what they can or even get a free meal thanks to others! Parking: Not from the area so I don't know other parking options than the street. It was free parking for the weekend! Wheelchair accessibility: They had a volunteer in a wheelchair and he could get around. Not the easiest but they would definitely accommodate!

A really unique place. The food is good a lot of vegetarian options even some vegan stuff you can find. You can also work an hour to payoff your meal.
