The service was good. I had a fried fish. I was absolutely flavorless. You get two pieces and I did not finish my first one. The french fries were good. But I actually ordered tater tots and didn’t get them. I was OK with that. My husband got the salmon and it was way too salty to eat. He took two bites and did not finish it. The mashed potatoes were not good either. My 17-year-old got the chicken pasta and it was inedible. It didn’t taste like chicken or pasta. As a matter of fact, it did not taste like anything that was in the dish. My oldest son got the turkey Ruben and he said it was good. The Caesar salad that his girlfriend got was good, but it had chewy croutons. The fried cheese was good. The tea is instant tea. It is not real tea. It’s awful. The sweet potato fries were the best thing on the table. It’s just unfortunate that it cost five of us over $100, including tip And most of it was inedible. We so much wanted 81 North kitchen & tap to be a 5-star review but have to leave an honest assessment to help others and hope the owner is capable of taking constructive criticism. This area needs better food choices and we love to support local businesses. But this one was disappointing. The restaurant is clean but sterile like a hospital. The green orbeez on the wall are strange. Plenty of TVs but not easy to watch. Booths are made for 1000 pound sisters. Had to sit on the edge of the seat. The restaurant could double as the ICU at Piedmont Henry. Let's talk about food. A bar needs an appetizer, burger and wings. Well what can go wrong with pork belly. Why not smoke it It doesn't need korean sauce. Why ruin the pork belly. Pair a good hoppy beer with it, after all your name says Tap room. Have choices. The burger. Nicely done. Looks great. Then why not season it. Beef needs salt. Again don't try to be Piedmont Henry dining. Remember this is a TAP ROOM. Wings. They at least ne

My wife and I were reading some of these reviews and we were very hesitant on trying this new joint out. Either way we love showing support to our local restaurants so we went. We enjoyed ourselves and the food. She had a salmon, mash potatoes and zucchini and for $14 its a good price! Tasty at that! I got fish and chips and it was okay. Definitely could use more flavor but nothing ketchup and hot sauce cant fix. She ordered a cocktail she had me finish it haha. They are working on their drink menu so that was good. Also ordered a side of wings and they were okay, just go with original Mild, medium and or hot! Hopefully they work on the other sauces they offer. This place is not as bad as others who left reviews are making it to seem. Go try it !
