808 Local Hawaiian Grill

Not even sure if these guys even been to Hawaii. Worst "local" food around. I had the "big kahuna" & was very disappointed. The plate came with Spam, Portuguese sausage, 1 egg, 1 scoop rice, 1 scoop Mac salad, & also mixed green salad. First of all they didn't ask how I wanted my egg, they assumed I wanted it Sunnyside (with shells in it), WRONG!!! They assumed I wanted gravy dumped all over my food, WRONG!!! They served my plate with 1 scoop of rice & mixed green salad, WRONG!!! Everyone from Hawaii knows that any plate you order is served with 2 scoops of rice, and MIXED GREEN SALAD???!!!...WRONG!!! No mixed green salad anywhere on most any "local" restaurant menu. Maybe it'll fool people that never been to Hawaii but this is far from "Local" as you can get. It's one thing to have been born & raised in the mainland with Hawaii ties, but please don't slap an "808" or "Local Hawaiian" on the name of your restaurant. Maybe call it "What We THINK 808 Local Hawaiian Food Taste Like". Took

Great place. Staff is friendly and courteous. If you enjoy beef ribs, you definitely need to stop in. The Orders were ready quick and the inside feels safe and there is plentiful room to maintain distances. This is my new go-to Hawaiian food fix. I am looking forward to giving breakfast a try.

This place is amazing. Whomever is cooking in the back is a god. I got The Monoa with macaroni. It was the tastest and softest meat! My husband got the crispy salmon. He couldn't even stop himself! We definitely will be coming back soon. Hands down the best place for Hawaiian BBQ. I also note, they did forget a item. Specifically a Teri Masubi but were kind enough to give it to us without any hassel. So I would suggest just checking your bag before you leave, other then that they were awesome with very kind service. Couldn't get any photos, we were to hungry to wait! Can wait to see you again!
