Arriving at the 76 Diner, first impression was, oh look, a truck stop diner. However, after eating there I can say it is a local restaurant serving everyone ample portions of good home style food with friendly attitude and at a good price. We had chicken fried steak and eggs, and a country fried steak dinner. The country fried steak filled its own plate and the sausage gravy was some of the best. Looking around there were friends, families, and even us, travellers stopping for a good meal. As people left, others soon stopped in, letting you know the 76 Diner is well liked. I agree.
Got seated right away. Looked over the menu and decided what to order. Waited to have our order taken (still no drinks or acknowledgement that we were even there). Tried to flag a waitress. No response. 40 minutes in, we got up and left. They weren't even that busy.
