Excellent American Food For starters we enjoyed pimento cheese and crackers along with fried green tomatoes all of which were outstanding. For entrées we had a variety including the jerk pork rib pasta special which was tremendous and a very large portion. Others had steak with twice baked potato which was also cooked to perfection. Went June 2022. This street is littered with restaurants all within walking distance. Paid parking lot and some street parking available. For browsers - most of the restaurants have their menus posted outside for review. Went here based on the menu selection and reviews. Seated promptly without a reservation. Nice decor! Our waiter was very attentive. This place has some outdoor seating, bar seating in the front area and quieter dining area in the back for larger groups. I got the southern fried chicken dinner - $27 - 2 pieces of French cut fried chicken, 1 cornbread, mashed potatoes, green beans and delicious white gravy. It was DELICIOUS. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. For dessert - I got the fried cheesecake (nothing special). Overall, a good find!
Really solid place for brunch. Shout out to the staff who were welcoming, attentive and so friendly. Truly the staff made the meal. We had a reservation at 1130 on a Sunday. Easily accommodated stroller. We ordered a cocktail and a beer on tap. The CuCu cucumber vodka cocktail was tasty. The sandwiches were all good. Overall we had a very nice brunch. $60 for two people for brunch.
