Shaner's Pizza - Gulf Gate Sarasota

We love this place and go there everytime we are in Sarasota, until our visit on 10/30. There was 4 of us and we ordered pizza to go together and told them we were together. They told us 20 - 25 minutes. We came back at 25 minutes and our friends pizza was done, ours was coming up. 15 minutes later, our pizza was finally ready. We opened the box and it was missing the pepperoni. The manager came over and said I'll give you $1.50 off...that's what the pepperoni cost. I said no, I wanted what I ordered, can't you add pepperoni or remake it and our friends pizza was cold by now so we asked they heat theirs up or remake it. He said "I don't give a S***". I'm not fixing their pizza. He didn't care that their pizza was already cold and by the time he remade ours it would really be cold. We finally convinced him to give us our money back. I couldn't believe how rude he was and unwilling to work with us. We won't be going back.

We ordered carry out and the time frame they gave us was accurate and fast for how large our order was. Most of the food we ordered was really good, though there were a few comments we had. We ordered mild wings and there was no sauce on it at all. We made sure tt was not meant to be a dry rub, they tasted just like plain wings. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich wasn’t bad, but not the best we’ve had. And then the onion rings seemed a bit overdone. But the Carolina gold wings that we ordered were amazing and the sauce was really good! We all really liked the thin crust on the pizza and the toppings we got were delicious. We got a couple of simple sides and the chicken Parmesan pasta dish. All got a thumbs up from my family!

Ate here twice and both times had a pizza along with the most amazing "homemade" mozzarella sticks. Pizza is really good and the mozzarella sticks are the best sticks I've ever eaten. I will be returning!
